Lake Fork Fishing Reports

Fishing on lake fork is a very unique and rewarding experience. Lake Fork is located just North of Quitman in Hopkins, Raines, and Wood Counties. Lake Fork is only about an hour and a half drive from Dallas, Texas.

36 out of 50 of Texas's biggest bass have come from Lake Fork, and it's one of the most well known fishing lakes in the nation. When the lakes up North are still frozen, it's common to see people from as far away as Maine making the trip down to fork to catch large bass (not to mention crappie and catfish).

Fishing Reports for Lake Fork can be found on Texas Parks and Wildlifes website, and most local hotels and establishments in the area post fresh fishing reports. One of the best ways to find out where the fish are is to stop by the Lake Fork Marina.

Also, because Lake Fork is such a busy fishing lake, boat rentals there are really cheap. You can rent an Xpress bass boat there for only $100 a day, or a pontoon boat for $150!
